Effective administration of a headquarters office provides the essential foundation for successful operations.
Association officers and leaders must be confident that the administrative staff can help them solve problems and capitalize on opportunities. By adeptly managing the day-to-day affairs of an association, staff enables volunteer leaders to fulfill their responsibilities for goal-setting, policy determination and program monitoring.
EAI executives will provide valuable assistance to your officers and board members. Specifically, EAI will:
- Relieve you of housekeeping chores (billing and collecting dues, meeting arrangements, etc.).
- Strengthen your leadership roles by helping you devote more time to tasks such as goal-setting and policy determination.
- Monitor the performance of the organization in achieving its objectives and goals.
- Provide a single-point of accountability for the effective implementation of the organization's strategies, programs and policies.
- Exercise proactive strategic leadership and change management
|
- Provide "corporate memory" and context for decisions and actions.
- Ensure quality, reliable and responsive customer service to members, volunteer leaders and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organization, in conjunction with the elected leaders, to the media and outside world.
- Manage the CFO function to ensure a strong financial foundation
- Increase your visibility to the membership. It is important that members be familiar with you as officers and board members . . . know what you stand for . . . and appreciate what you are accomplishing on their behalf.
- Help solve your members’ problems. The real role of association staff isn’t to put on meetings and publish a newsletter and journal – these are only means to an end. Their role is to help the members solve problems and capitalize on opportunities.
- Increase your visibility to the public. If your leaders are good communicators, EAI will arrange for public appearances, speeches and media interviews. If public communications is not a strong suit, EAI can provide coaching to dramatically enhance your effectiveness.
