Mary Lou Callaghan

Mary Lou has 24 years of experience in association education administration and management which includes serving as the Director of Administration for the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Her experience is vital in working with the College's Board of Regents, various councils and committees, and liaison duties for the American Medical Association and various sister specialties, domestic and abroad.

Prior to joining EAI, Mary Lou was the Associate Director of Scientific Meetings for the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons where she orchestrated successful conferences and a skills lab schedule both nationally and internationally.

Linda Cullison

Linda is Director of Development for the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. Linda has been in association management since 2002. Prior to joining EAI, she was Industry Relations Manager for the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Linda also has more than 17 years' experience working in the convention and tradeshow industry.

Her commitment is to provide accurate and concise information about corporate sponsorship opportunities that are available for support; enabling corporate partners to reach thousands of key industry decision makers. She secures funding for annual meetings and other projects, has helped grow client revenues and ensures corporate partners meet their marketing objectives.

Linda is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education.

Jo Ann Faber, MA

Jo Ann has 15 years of experience in association management and 28 years in health care communications. In her current position as Director of Public Relations for the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, she writes, edits and manages member and public communications including printed and electronic publications, website pages and social media. She manages public relations programs, develops rapid response communications and oversees Patient Education & Outreach Committee projects and International Committee activities.

Prior to joining EAI, Jo Ann was Director of Communications for the Greater Chicago Food Depository and was Production Manager, Marketing Communications for the Hospital Supply Division of Baxter Healthcare Corporation.

Jo Ann holds a master's in marketing communications from Roosevelt University in Chicago.

Thomas Joseph, MPS, CAE

Tom has 25 years of non-profit medical association management experience. Previous association responsibilities have included positions with the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Dental Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Tom is currently the Executive Director of the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT) and the Managing Director of the International NetCord Foundation. ASBMT started with less than 600 members and has grown, under EAI management, to more than 1,600 members with net assets totaling $1.5 million. NetCord started with fewer than 5 umbilical cord blood facilities and has grown to 35 members worldwide.

Tom is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has a master's in public services with a concentration in association management from DePaul University.

Jeff Kiva

Jeff has more than 10 years experience in association management as the Director of Information Technology for EAI and its clients.

His expertise in computer hardware, networking, database and internet systems serves EAI clients well in the management of data and websites, MS SQL, MS networking and iMIS, one of the leading association management software packages.

Robert Krawisz, MBA

Bob has extensive experience in improving the performance of organizations. His background includes 20 years of association management experience within health care, quality and safety. He held senior management positions with for-profit corporations in the pharmaceutical, financial services, transportation and consumer products industries. His specialty is marketing, business development and strategic planning.

Bob is currently Associate Executive Director for the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Director of Socio-Economics for American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He also is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health.

Prior to joining EAI, Bob was Executive Director of the AMA's National Patient Safety Foundation, Director of Business Development for the American Society for Quality and Vice President of Marketing and Operations for the National Safety Council. 

He has an master's in business administration from the University of Chicago. 

Jean Lynch

Jean has 17 years of experience in association management, including 12 years with EAI. Prior to joining EAI, she was with the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine.

Jean is the Director of Membership Services for all EAI clients. She is responsible for the recruitment and retention of more than 18,000 members. Under her management, membership for all EAI clients has grown consistently. The average membership retention rate for EAI clients is 92 percent. Each client has specific staff who serve as a knowledgeable single point of contact for excellent customer service.

John Nocera, CPA

John is a Certified Public Accountant, with over 25 years of accounting and financial management experience. John began his career with Ernst & Young, where he served a variety of health care-related clients. He subsequently became Vice President of finance with a medical equipment supplier and then moved into Chief Financial Officer roles with leading association related organizations, including Smith Bucklin and now EAI.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS). He currently serves as a volunteer leader on the board of several non-profit organizations.

John has provided financial leadership and oversight for more than 200 non-profit associations and related organizations. 

Nancy Ryan, CAE

Nancy is the Director of Communications for EAI and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She has 17 years of association management experience focused in media relations, public education, marketing and member communications.

Prior to joining EAI, Nancy was the Director of Public Relations for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

She has led numerous successful, award-winning national public education and consumer branding campaigns, which have included social media, website, microsite, online advertising and media relations components.

Nancy is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and member of the American Society of Association Executives.

Gina Seegers

Gina has more than 20 years of experience in association management including more 15 years as Director of Meetings and Conventions for EAI clients.

Gina effectively oversees EAI's meetings department and is an expert in contract negotiation, site selection, and meeting development and production.

She manages logistical arrangements for several annual scientific meetings including coordination with convention centers, hotels and contracted vendors.

Additional responsibilities include meeting space assignment, audio visual requirements, trade show coordination, food and beverage arrangements, telecommunications, security, transportation and overall show design.

Kevin Smith, MA, MBA

Kevin has more than 19 years of health care administration experience with one of Chicago's largest health care systems, and 17 years executive-level national association management experience with professional health care associations.

He is the Executive Director of the Academy of Osseointegration and its Foundation, a surgical dental society that has grown from 3,800 members to more than 6,000 since EAI began managing the Academy in May 2000. The organization has experienced net profits of more than $1 million annually for five of the past six years.

Kevin's background also includes designing national training programs, scientific journal publishing and managing a national certification program. His expertise includes developing comprehensive non-dues business ventures, developing and implementing strategic plans,  initiating successful global membership expansion and initiating membership recruitment and retention campaigns.

Kevin holds a master's degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

M. Eileen Widmer, CAE, CFRM

Eileen is a veteran association management professional with more than 30 years experience with national medical and nursing specialty associations.

She is the Executive Director of the 2,600 member Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) and its James Ewing Foundation (JEF).

Eileen has a strong track record in helping organizations engineer successful financial and programmatic turnarounds, helping to grow non-dues revenue and developing new programs and services.

During her tenure with the SSO, the society has experienced an annual membership growth of 6-8%, seen significant growth in its partnerships with industry, completed a comprehensive strategic planning process, and is in the midst of re-engineering its annual scientific program.

Prior to joining EAI, Eileen served as Executive Director of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates.

Eileen is a Certified Association Executive. She received her Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) designation from The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy.

Stella Zedalis, MA

Stella has more than 20 years of experience in association management, including her current positions as Associate Executive Director of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) and of the ASCRS Research Foundation.

Under Stella's leadership, the ASCRS has achieved dramatic increases in membership, annual meeting attendance, annual operating budget and total assets. A recent achievement was a highly successful launch of a $5 million capital endowment campaign for the ASCRS Research Foundation.

Stella oversees the ASCRS continuing medical education and, together with its leadership, has attained "commendations" from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for the past 15 years.

Prior to joining EAI, Stella was director of public relations and special events for Orchard Association for the Retarded and was project manager at Argus Communications.

Stella holds a master's degree from William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J.
